Echo Yachts’ 56m (183’8″) superyacht CHARLEY 2 was built in 2023 as the largest motor catamaran ever built in Australia and a unique adventure/support yacht with naval architecture from One2Three Naval Architects. She is packed with superior features and carries a great selection of tenders and adventure equipment.
Construction on the 1,041GT, all-aluminium vessel began in 2020 and was commissioned by an experienced yachtsman. She is five metres longer than her predecessor, Charley, but the two share a raised helicopter platform aft. Naval architecture was performed by One2Three Naval Architects while fit-out design, engineering and electrical were handled in-house.
The yacht also has impressive explorer capabilities, with features such as a helicopter touch-and-go pad (suitable for an Airbus EC130 helicopter), a dive store and a decompression chamber. Built for adventure she is equipped with a large touch & go helicopter pad, dive store, decompression chamber and specialist sonar equipment on the custom 12m catamaran tender. She also carries a 6.8m RIB, 2 additional RIB tenders, 1 Williams turbo jet, 2 Pioneer Multi landing craft and 3 Yamaha wave runners.
